About Me
I became addicted to quilting more than 20 years ago when I made a baby quilt for my nephew. It was composed of log cabin blocks in yellows and greens. I arranged the blocks to look like a leaf. I loved how quickly the blocks came together with chain-piecing. Also, combining the finished blocks and seeing the end result was so satisfying.
So, I scoured the Baltimore County library system for pretty much every book about quilting that they had. (I was addicted to reading long before I acquired the quilting habit.) I practiced lots of techniques on quilts for family and friends. I still can't settle on one technique, and I learn more with every quilt I make.
Now I have gotten to the point where I make quilts not just to give as gifts or because I have some wall space or bed space to fill, but as self-expression. This means that I have piles of self-expression all over my house with no place to put them. Hence, the website. (Wanna buy a quilt?)
I live in Baltimore with my husband and two children. And no, I haven't made a Baltimore Album Quilt. When I am not quilting, I work part-time as a software engineer, tend my garden, and attempt to ignore the dust bunnies hiding in the corners of my house.
