I finally finished my entry for the National Quilt Museum's 25th anniversary contest. I spent most of yesterday afternoon attempting to take quality pictures to send them. The due date is December 1st, so I didn't have a lot of time to spare.
I am afraid the quilt is not very photogenic. It is 3-dimensional, like a folded fan or accordion, projecting 3" from the wall, so that the view from each side is different from the view at the front. I took pictures of both sides as well as the front, but it is hard to see the structure of it in the pictures so it just looks odd and amateurish. I am fully prepared for rejection, even though the quilt itself is, if I say so myself, interesting, thought-provoking, and full of surprises to reward the careful viewer.
The good news is that I can now move on with the rest of my life which has practically been on hold while I raced to finish the beast. High on the list is finishing my Revelation quilt, featuring the epic battle between bright and beautiful Kaffe Fassett fabrics and dark and deathly Halloween and goth prints. And a dragon... And 3 interlocking Mobius strips of organza ribbon, although they are sewn down so unfortunately you can't tell they are Mobius strips. Here's the design for the quilt, just an approximation, not the actual fabrics:
